Our Story

A Journey of Flavour, Passion, and People

The idea for Bukka Hut was conceived in March 2011, and within just five months, the dream became a reality. From business planning to securing capital, recruiting staff, and opening our flagship location in Lekki Phase 1, Bukka Hut officially began operations on August 1, 2011.

But our story goes beyond milestones — it’s about people. The true essence of Bukka Hut lies in the transformation stories of those who built it.

Victoria was one of our pioneer staff — a 24-year-old fresh graduate who travelled from Ilorin for her first-ever job interview. Despite initial challenges, her determination and hard work paid off. Today, she’s our Head of Operations, leading teams and inspiring others with her resilience. 

Like Victoria, Deborah joined Bukka Hut in 2015 as frontline staff and worked her way up to become our People & Culture Manager while earning her Bachelor’s Degree in 2023.

Folashade’s story is another testimony to growth. Starting as a Lounge Cashier, she moved across departments — from Admin to Internal Audit to Procurement — and now serves as our Procurement Manager.

Vincent, a two-time Employee Scholarship beneficiary, began as a frontline staff and rose to become an Internal Audit and Compliance Officer while completing his university education.
